International Yoga Day
Department of Vedanta has organised a national webinar on Yoga in connection with the International Yoga Day celebration on 21st June 2021. Dr.K Unnikrishnan, Vice Principal, GSC, TVPM has chaired the session. Sri Sreekanthan Nair, Yogacharya and Teacher of Yoga, Continuing Education, GSC, Tvm has inaugurated the program and lectured on the Relevance and need of Yoga in the modern world. Dr. P.V Sreenivasan, HOD, Vedanta delivered the welcome speech while Smt.Manju T.G, Assi.Prof. in Vedanta, submitted the vote of thanks.
Commemoration of Prof.R.Vasudevan Potti
The Dept of Vedanta organised a Commemoration ceremony on the sad demise of the great Sankrit scholar and former HOD in Vedanta, GSC,TVPM Prof.R.Vasudevan Potti. Dr. K.D Sobha, Principal, GSC, TVPM, has chaired the session in which several scholars, who were his students, have participated to commemorate their teacher. Dr P.V Sreenivasan welcomed the dignitaries and Dr.P.Rajesh Kumar, Asso.Prof. in Vedanta, delivered the vote of thanks. Several illuminaries in the field of Sankrit, like Prof. Gangadharan Nair, Prof. J Prasad, Prof. P.C Muralimadhavan, Prof. Krishnakumar, etc. were assembled in the platform to remember and submit their pranams to their Teacher.
